Abergavenny karate Club had the honour of being visited by Britain’s Chief karate instructor, Sensei Ohta 7th Dan last week.

Sensei Ohta conducted a two hour training session and grading at the club. The Abergavenny karate students were treated to 90 minutes of world class karate instruction that included many hints and tips on how to perform karate techniques in a more relaxed and efficient manner so as to increase speed and power.

The students in the club range from beginners to very experienced karateka ( karate practitioners ) and from age under 10 to over 60!

All enjoyed the session and are looking forward to Sensei Ohta’s next visit.

A number of students successfully passed their gradings and is hoped that if they continue their training then they will be able to gain their Black belts within the next couple of years.
