CROSS Ash’s Hallam Amos wasn’t able to make his graduation so his Wales rugby team-mates brought the graduation to him.

The former Monmouth School for Boys’ Head Boy was out in Switzerland with the rest of the Welsh squad preparing for the World Cup in Japan.

So Hallam missed out on attending his graduation at Cardiff University, after earning an outstanding first class degree in Neuroscience (BSc).

His Wales pals were aware of this, so the entertainment committee - with George North and Liam Williams leading the way - decided to arrange a special presentation for him.

They bought a graduation hat from home and called a meeting at the squad base in Fiesch, with all the players and management in attendance.

North spoke about the challenges of being a professional rugby player and how incredible it is to study alongside that - and especially to get a first-class degree.
