CROSS Ash’s Hallam Amos produced an outstanding piece of skill in Wales’ superb 23-10 Test triumph against Argentina in San Juan.
A try-scorer against South Africa in Washington seven days earlier, Amos delivered a sublime one-handed pass out of the back door to send James Davies over in the corner.
It was a wonderful offload from the former Monmouth School for Boys’ Head Boy, which took out three defenders, for Wales’ opening try in last Saturday’s match.
Fellow Old Monmothian, Eddie Butler, who was commentating on the match, called it “brilliant”. The move involved 13 players and it has been hailed as one of Wales’ best tries.
Hallam impressed, once again, at full-back and will be hoping to retain his place for the second-and-final Test against the Pumas in Santa Fe this Saturday (8.40pm kick-off).
