MONMOUTHSHIRE MP David Davies recently visited King Henry VIII school and gave pupils the opportunity to punch him in the face.
Well sort of! The plucky political pugilist is a keen amateur boxer and was the guest visitor at the school's boxing fitness club last Friday.
The sporting MP attended the club, which began in September and already has 26 pupils regularly attending the sessions which involve basic boxing skills and fitness exercises.
Self-discipline, teamwork and determination is very much part of the club ethos, and David Davies, who supported school coach Kevin Hudson in Friday's session, is pictured demonstrating defensive techniques with year nine pupil Cameron Ferrie.
