LOCAL Assembly Member, Nick Ramsay AM, was pleased hear about a fundraising event held last Thursday evening at Llantilio Pertholey Community Hall to launch fundraising for Mardy Juniors' Football Club's proposed new pitch.

Nick said, "I attended a previous presentation for the proposed new 3G practice pitch for Mardy Juniors a few months ago, and thoroughly support the club's plans.

"This is a great initiative which deserves everyone's support. Anything we can do to encourage youngsters take up sport and lead active lives deserves some help, and I wish the club and its supporters all the best with this new project. A new all weather practice pitch will be a great addition to the club's current facilities and I'm keen to support the project in any way I can."
