LLANARTH Cricket Club have appointed a professionally qualified ECB Coach to organise and work with both the juniors and seniors this season.

Lee Herring is a Level Two coach who is employed by Cricket Wales to promote junior cricket in Gwent.

He will be running cricket sessions in some of the local primary schools and has already made arrangements with both Raglan and Cross Ash schools.

In addition, Llanarth Cricket Club have been able to obtain his services at the club junior practice evenings and at senior nets.

Herring is an excellent coach who works with the County juniors and whose son has just been granted a professional contract by Gloucestershire County Cricket Club at the age of 17.

Although a professional coach dedicated to improving every individual's cricketing ability his over-riding philosophy is that cricket must be fun.

Boys and girls of all abilities will be welcomed and encouraged to take part in training sessions and games.

Junior training will again take place on Friday evenings commencing on April 20 at 6pm.

Senior training night is being moved to Wednesdays, commencing April 18.

The Club looks forward to seeing old and new players of all ages. For further information contact Keith Spencer on 01873 856746 or 07970 437949.
