Goytre - 5
Briton Ferry Llansawel - 3
GOYTRE made their debut in Welsh League Division Two with a bang as they roared to a remarkable victory over Briton Ferry Llansawel.
Played at Plough Road, the match started in the worst possible fashion for Carl Evans's men who found themselves trailing 0-3 after the first 51 minutes.
However, Goytre showed exactly the spirt and resolution which saw them gain promotion last season when skipper Matthew Prosser headed in off a corner and inspired a memorable comeback.
Matthew's brother Luke Prosser made it 2-3 for Goytre and with Briton Ferry's defence shaken, one of their defenders was red carded and conceded a penalty which Luke Prosser slotted home to make it all square.
With the visitors on the ropes Goiter run rampant as Calum Miles's thunderous long-range effort edged his team's noses in front and Richie Jeremiah wrapped things up sweetly for Goyte with the fifth and final goal.
