Abercarn United - 0

Govilon are finishing the season in fine form. Following their 7-2 rout of Pentwynmawr in midweek they travelled to Abercarn on Saturday and returned home with another excellent victory.

Dean Morgan opened the scoring in the sixth minute after Chris Penny's shot was blocked and the ball rebounded to him, and then Jamie Laurent blasted over when he looked certain to double the tally.

Blakemore, in Abercarn's goal did well to save a Dean Morgan effort, and foiled him again in a carbon copy two minutes later. However he fumbled the resultant corner and Craig Norman was on hand to keep up his scoring run and give Govilon the half time lead.

Norman was in the thick of things shortly after the re-start, and good link play by him and Jamie Laurent, was rounded off when Laurent found the net. Fifteen minutes from time Norman grabbed his second to leave the result in no doubt. Morgan also made it a brace as third placed Govilon ran out convincing winners, and claimed their highest league placing since 1959.
