GLANGRWYNEY got one foot in Division Three with a huge 20 point win over previous long time leaders Brockhampton.

This result pushes Brockhampton down to fourth position with Widemarsh in second place snapping at Glang's heels.

Glan won a vital toss and duly inserted Brock. Tight bowling by Tom Miller (two for 16 off nine) and Haydn Davies (0 for nine off eight) ensured Brock got off to a slow start with the evergreen Davies, although not getting the wickets he deserves, bowling immaculately, having conceded just 18 runs off 15 overs in his last two games.

A run out started Brock's slide then slow bowler Colin Griffiths (four for 28 off 11) cashed in with the batsmen having to up the run rate and Griffiths first "letting the ball do the work" and getting good catches by Paul Daniel and Tom Miller, plus a smart stumping by veteran wicky Tony Jones.

Nick Jones (two for 15 off nine) then bowled top scorer Richard Thomas (23) who tried his best to hold Brock's innings together, and also had J. Ratchett (11) well caught by Paul Daniel with Jonty Jones (one for four off four) causing the other wicket to fall.

On batting it was a repeat of last week's Ross game with anchorman Paul Daniel (18 not out) and the prolific Tim Jones (60 not out) making light work of Brock's bowling attack, knocking the runs off in just over 13 overs.

This win sets Glan's last game against mid-table Batestree Thiirds up nicely. Glan will have to win to ensure promotion and get a 20 point maximum if they wish to end the season champions elect.
