GLANGRWYNEY got to within 30th of a point of second placed Widemarsh, whose game was cancelled, with a mammouth 173 runs win away to Wormelow thirds.
On losing the toss yet again, Glan got off to a good start with openers Paul Daniel (42) and Mike Parker (40) laying the foundation - putting on 81 for 18 overs.
The next 27 overs revolved around a hard hitting century for Tim Jones (117 n.o.), containing three maximums and 18 boundaries.
Jones dictated Glan's innings to such an extent that Tony Jones (13) was the only other batsmen to get into double figures.
Thirty runs came off the the last three overs with Haydn Davies (0 n.o.) giving Jones staunch support at the end.
In reply Haydn Davies (three for 31 off 12) bowled yet another immaculate and tight spell with Richard James (three for 22 off seven) also bowling well.
The evergreen Colin Griffiths (two for five off eight) and teenager Elis Barnett-Smith (one for nine off four) then proceeded to mop up the tail to reduce Wormelow to 69 all out in the 31st over, with Tim Jones completing a fine 'man of the match' performance by taking four good catches in the outfield.
