ABEGAVENNY’S favourite boxer Kieran Gething will be back in action this August when he returns to the ring to contest the British Challenge Belt against Newcastle’s Basi Razaq.

The fight will be at Llandarcy Sports Centre, and Gething is relishing the opportunity to get back between the ropes and pursue his dreams.

The up and coming fighter said, “It should be a good fight and the winner has the chance to enter the top 20 in the country which qualifies you to fight for the Lonsdale Belt.”

As always, Gething is hoping for a bus load of Abergavenny support. The fight night, sponsored by FAST Group UK and WJW Self Storage is on August 11.
