ONLY a handful of games survived the overnight frost on Saturday and one of them was the Division Two clash between Pandy 'B' and Pontypool Town which finished all square on 2-2.

Played at Lower Meadow, Gareth Staphnill put Pandy 'B' 1-0 up, but Pontypool equalised to make it honours even at half-time.

Into the second-half and Ponty seized the advantage via a Richard Cross penalty. Yet before the final whistle blew, a Jamie Gilchrist goal put Pandy back on level terms.

Man of the match for Pandy was Gareth Staphnill.

Man of the match for Pontypool Town was Kyle Edwards.

In the Torfaen Tyres Open Cup preliminary round, Panteg pounded Mardy 6-0, with goals coming thick and fast from Christian Key, Dan Jones, Mike Gumm, Greh Bond, Carrig Ryan and Nick Scotfield.

Panteg are at home to Usk Town 'B' in the next round.
