LAMIN Conteh, often the architect of Town’s demise in the past, struck again for STM Sports during the opening minutes of Saturday’s clash.

A long ball was played over Town’s defence, and Conteh, who is widely regarded as one of the most talented Sierra Leonean footballers of all time, was on hand to read the bounce of the ball perfectly, lobbing it into Town’s goal.

In the next minute, Town’s Sean Feeley saw his shot cleared off the line. Twenty minutes later Feeley struck again with a long range effort which clipped the post before entering the net.

STM also had a shot which clipped the upright but lady luck deserted them as the ball rebounded to safety. Both sides settled for honours even at half-time.

On the hour mark, Conteh struck once more with a carbon copy of his opening goal.

With three minutes remaining, Conteh was once again instrumental in the final score as the wizard wingman showed blistering pace on the right wing before crossing for a colleague to strike.

This result, with others picking up points, sees Town slip to fourth in the table, with as many as nine teams all in the mix for promotion. Town get an early chance to make amends and regain top spot this Friday evening when they entertain one-time league leaders, Croesyceiliog (7.30pm), in a local derby.
