Abergavenny Town Girls Under 12s kicked off their first competitive season of football playing against Abertillery and Albion Rovers.

Against Abertillery the Abergavenny Girls won 2-1. Both goals came from Captain Chelleter Graham-Sawyers. Efforts from Macey McCann and Carys Pond also tested the defence and the whole team played some fantastic passing football.

Against Albion Rovers the youngsters lost a very close match 0-1. A little bit of luck would have seen a different result as efforts from Sophie Engel, Mia Sherrard and Ruby Gould all came close. The team look in good shape with keeper Katie Barker and defenders Brooke Davies, Bella Wilce and Cristyn Powell all looking very solid at the back.
