Dinas Powis - FC - 1
When these two teams met earlier in the season at Dinas Powis’ ‘Murch’ ground the result was a 0-0 draw.
In complete contrast, those who braved the elements at Pen-y-Pound last Saturday were treated to a goal fest.
Town got off to the best possible start when Sean Feeley put them ahead after only two minutes. More Town joy followed two minutes later when Dan Jenkins doubled the score.
Feeley scored another on the 20 minute mark, and Dan Jenkins scored again two minutes later.
Nathan Davies got on to the scoresheet just before the referee blew for half-time. Town went into the break with a commanding 5-0 lead.
Dinas Powis scored early in the second-half, but Town continued to dominate play for most of the period and Feeley rounded off an excellent display, calmly picking his spot on 70 minutes to grab his hat-trick.
Th result sees Town move up to seventh in the table.
This match was sponsored by three of Town’s most loyal supporters in Steve Price, Chris Indge and Steven Indge who selected Feeley as the man of the match. Town travel to Pontardawe Town this Saturday with a supporter’s bus leaving Pen-y-Pound at 11.15am.
Meanwhile Town’s reserve side got back to winning ways, returning from Dinas Powis, with a handsome 3-0 win with goals from Lloyd Walker (2) and Tom Jenkins.
They entertain Bridgend Street tonight (Thursday, December 21) at Pen-y-Pound. Kick off is 7.30pm.
