WITH Town’s first team fixture at AFC Llwydcoed, falling victim to the weather, the focus was on the reserves trip to runaway league leaders, Cambrian and Clydach BGC.

Town outplayed their opponents in the first half, taking a 2-1 interval lead via a brace from Tom Jenkins.

In the second half Cambrian racked up the pace and took the lead with two early goals, before eventually notching half a dozen as they showed why they are champions elect.

Both of Town’s sides are without a fixture on Saturday, with no league match scheduled for the reserves, and the first team’s league encounter at home to Llanelli Town postponed due to Llanelli’s continued involvement in the Welsh Cup where they face the daunting task of travelling to TNS.

The reserves return to league action on Saturday February 4 at home to Bridgend Street (2.00pm), whilst on the same day the first team travel to Newport City, before entertaining Briton Ferry Llansawel on Saturday February 11 (2.00pm).
