ABERGAVENNY Town returned to winning ways in a seven-goal thriller against Croesyceiliog at Pen-y-Pound.

Sean Feeley opened the scoring after 12 minutes, although Croesyceiliog equalised shortly afterwards.

Town regained the lead from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time with Brad Jones making no mistake and coolly slotting home.

Dan Jenkins extended Town’s lead, but on the hour mark it was Croesceiliog’s turn to benefit from a penalty, which they duly despatched, and with 15 minutes remaining netted again to draw level.

Town pressed hard for the winner with Croesy’s ‘keeper Ben Fletcher making two brilliant saves to keep his side in the game, but he could not stop Town’s marksman, Dan Jenkins grabbing the winner two minutes from time.

Referee Bates played seven nervous minutes of added time, but at the final whistle Town bagged the three points.

Town are on their travels for their next league match which is tomorrow night (Friday, November 10) away at Aberdare Town. Kick off is 7.30pm.

Town’s reserve side, out of action last Saturday, resume their league programme at Pen-y-Pound on Saturday entertaining Croesyceiliog reserves with an earlier kick-off time of 2.00pm.
