IT was a magnificent weekend for Abergavenny Women’s very own golden girl Lyndsey Davies.

For the sixth consecutive season she not only collected her club’s Golden Boot trophy but was also named the joint Player of the Season award alongside team mate Kate Jeremiah at the club’s awards ceremony at Chepstow racecourse.

On Saturday Davies travelled to Chester to collect her fourth Welsh Premier Women’s League Golden Boot award at a glittering awards evening.

Club secretary Wayne Jeremiah was full of praise for Davies and said, "She’s an amazing young lady and an inspiration to us all. She’s been a major part of our success over the years.”
