Abergavenny Town Girls under 12s returned to winning ways after a two week break with a convincing 5-0 win against Aberdare Town.

Goals came from Macey McCann (2), Megan Welford (2) and a fine individual strike from Ruby Gould.

The team looked solid from back to front, with defensive duo Cristyn Powell and Brooke Davies standing firm, backed up by keeper Katie Barker.

Bella Wilce put in a great display in an unfamiliar midfield role, supported by Sophie Engel, Chelleter Graham-Sawyers and Megan Welford. Attackers Ruby Gould, Tirion Staples, Carys Pond and Macy McCann created a number of chances, but the Aberdare keeper pulled of some excellent saves to prevent a runaway rout.
