ABERGAVENNY Rhinos JFC were delighted to host Beaupreau Football Club as part of the Twin Town 30 year celebrations.

It was four years ago that the Rhinos re-ignited the Twin Town connections with Beaupreau, which had waned over the last couple of decades, especially in respect to a sporting connection.

All the players from each club enjoyed a day of first class junior football played in beautiful sunshine, across a number of age groups. This was tainted slightly when the determined dads took to the field to play their annual game of vintage style football, but fun was had by all.

The Rhinos were able to make the most of the Llanfoist Village Halls great facilities and put on a scrumptious spread, kindly helped out by donations from Morrisons, NFU Mutual and 57 High Street Usk -deli-kitchen-bar.

The Rhinos are now looking forward to a return trip to Beaupreau in 2020, being welcomed again by their host families and taking part in an international junior football tournament organised by Beaupreau.
