THE sun shone down on the pristine Causeway ground in Undy on Sunday, as Jack Williams created club history by firing the Abergavenny Rhinos Blacks U13s to its first League Cup, creating a double for this talented squad of boys who also won the league.

Williams confidently stroked home the winner in the last minute to beat Undy 3-2 in a very tense final.

Undy had taken the league early in the first half-with their first real attack, but the young Rhinos soon took control of the game, playing their confident, one and two touch brand of attacking football.

The Rhinos took the lead through a Man City-esque goal, as Mason Brice had a simple tap in at the back post, to finish what was a brilliant crisp passing move that cut the Undy defence to shreds.

Williams then met a superb deep cross from Ollie South to take the Rhinos into the break with a 2-1 lead.

Undy then equalised against the run of play with a lucky, looping cross come shot, that sent the larger home ground crowd into raptures. But this only pushed the Rhinos on as they continued to pepper the Undy goal, until finally they got the well deserved winner.

Having scored a brace, Williams went home with the match ball and man of the match trophy, and the Rhinos with the double!
