IT was a feast of goals at Pen-y-Pound on Sunday as Abergavenny continued their six month unbeaten run in the league with an emphatic victory against their North Wales rivals.

A dream start saw them blow away the opposition in a 15 minute blast which contained four goals.

Lyndsey Davies opened the scoring three minutes in. Next up Laura Davies headed home from a Lauren Boyd corner. Lyndsey Davies made it three on 10 minutes and Kate Jeremiah slotted home neatly after 14 minutes.

Rhyl to their credit battled hard and a fine save from Charlotte Hastings helped maintain her side’s lead.

On the 42nd minute mark the goal machine that is Lyndsey Davies grabbed her hat-trick to make it 5-0. Just before the break Rhyl grabbed one back thanks to a penalty.

Abergavenny put the game to bed on 62 minutes when Lyndsey latched onto a Kate Jeremiah cross to fire home her fourth.

Rhyl fought back with two quick goals and another fine save from Charlotte Hastings before Kate Jeremiah completed the scoring with a sublime lob late on to make it a magnificent seven on the day.
