RAGLAN Parc Golf Club recently held its end of season presentation evening at the club house. Prior to members receiving their awards, the Club Captain Mr Alan Edwards and Ladies’ Captain Mrs Jacqueline Fogwill presented a Captain’s Charity cheque for £3445.20 to Meeting the Needs, a local charity based in Monmouth that aims to advance the education and improve the quality of life of children with special needs.

In her speech Jacqueline said she was overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone that had helped achieve this fantastic amount, it was more special because all the money would make a real and substantial difference to the children and not get lost in administrative red tape; there were so many people that had given so much for the charity, and she was grateful to each and everyone of them, especially Alan for his continued commitment and enthusiasm for their charity.

Deb Beach and Jill Jeremiah, representing Meeting the Needs, thanked the members of Raglan Parc for their generosity and support saying the money would be a big help.
