Despite reaching the final of this prestigious competition for the first time in their history, Crickhowell (in red shirts) were unable to match a powerful and higher-graded Abertillery Excelsiors outfit who beat them 5-0.

The Elvicta club can look back on pride with their amazing cup run, that had seen them overcome Coed Eva Athletic, Croesyceiliog Athleltic, Machen, Lucas Cwmbran and Aberbargoed Town en route to the show piece final, in addition to a fourth-placed finish in the Gwent County League Third Division.
