RAGLAN Parc Golf Club’s President’s Day saw over 100 members taking part in an individual Stableford.

The weather was lovely, and some very good scores were returned.

In his presentation speech, the president. Mr Wal Phillips, thanked the green staff, the catering staff, the Ladies on the desk, and everyone who had helped make the day so successful.

The President, who is retiring in March 2019, thanked the members for their tremendous support over the last five years and said he had enjoyed every minute of his Presidency.

He then asked The Club Captain, Mr.Tom Rigby, Ladies Capain, Mrs, Kath Morgan and Seniors Captain, Mr. Nick Smith to present the prizes.

The winners were: Men. Div.1. 1st Ross Price, 2nd Joff Pope, 3rd Rob Collett , Div. 2. 1st Carl Pugh , 2nd Jack Tabb 3rd Josh James. Seniors: 1st Pete Malson, 2nd Kelvin Russell, 3rd Jim True. Ladies Silver Div. 1st Jac Hayes, 2nd Jacqueline Fogwill, 3rd Nicky Edwards. Bronze div. 1st Gill Ramsey, 2nd Sue Parker. 3rd Jan Haycock. Nearest the Pin: Men, Aaron Mills, Seniors, Steve Butt, Ladies,Terry Relph. Nearest the Line: Men/ Seniors, Donald Parsons, Ladies, Kath Morgan. Nearest the Pin 17th Gareth Dalgleish.

Mr Carl Pugh was presented with the President’s Putter for being the overall winner on the day, with a excellent score of 43 stableford points. Wal congratulated all the winners on their success.

Mr Nigel Price finished off the presentation by thanking Wal for all the effort that had gone into making Presidents’ Day a fantastic success. He called him a great President and a excellent advocate for Raglan Parc Golf Club for many years, not just as Club President but as a member and previous Club Captain.
