ABERGAVENNY Town Girls FC began their First Division fixtures on the good foot and in fine style with a 4-2 victory against Tredegar Women.
The Aber Girls made the game their own with a 4-2 victory against a very competitive outfit from up top.
Goals came thick and fast from Jess Burden, Alice Robertson, and a brace from Georgie Jackson.
Olivia Oates was a commanding presence in goals and the immense defence of Shanade Devonauld, Heidi Ellaway, Libby Fury and Olivia Thomas put in a towering performance.
The midfield of Millie Thomas and Connie Roberston held fast and Bethan Parry-Jones on the wing was a force of nature.
