Abergavenny Town Girls under 12’s continued their outstanding start to the season with wins over Treowen and Llanbradach on the weekend to remain in top place.

Aber beat Treowen 3-0. Mia Sherrard scored two fine individual goals, with Carys Pond scoring the third from a good solo run.

The girls run out winners against Llanbradach by 4-0. Captain Chelleter Graham-Sawyers and Ruby Gould both scored a brace apiece.

Aber again proved to be too strong for their opposition with the defence of Bella Wilce, Cristyn Powell and Brooke Davies rarely troubled. Keeper Katie Barker again had little to do, but when called into action she handled with complete control. The front two of Carys Pond and Ruby Gould caused the opposition defence all kinds of problems, and both girls created numerous chances for themselves and others. The midfield trio of Chelleter Graham-Sawyers, Sophie Engel and Mia Sherrard again controlled the games and are working as an outstanding unit in the middle of the park.
