FORMER Glamorgan Captain and local lad Mark Wallace will be the guest speaker at Abergavenny CC’s Spring Dinner.

Held at their Avenue Road Clubhouse on Friday, March 13, Wallace who recently took over as Glamorgan’s new director of director will be regaling the gathered attend with reminisces from cricketing times past.

Mark played 18 seasons in the first team and captained Glamorgan between 2013 and 2015.

The 38-year-old former wicket-keeper retired from playing in February 2017.

Wallace who played 230 consecutive Championship matches - chaired the Professional Cricketers’ Association for four seasons before taking over as its regional representative for players at Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, and Somerset, whilst also commentating regularly for BBC Sport Wales.
