Abergavenny Squash Club’s ‘B’ team played its final match season away at Swansea with a much depleted team, and proceeded to lose by four matches to one. On the day, the side lost two of its players to both illness and injury, and were only able to field four players! Ellis Lawrence managed to win comfortably, not losing a set, but no other points were gained. However, the team still secures third position overall, which is an excellent result in its first ever season in the Premier League. It is to be hoped that it can go one better in the spring season and thus achieve promotion.

Gary Lawrence lost 3-0
Mitchell Lawrence lost 3-0
Both Abergavenny teams in Gwent Two faced each other, with the higher ranked side winning 4-1. As always in these matches, the match was keenly fought, but with much fun! The D team ended the season in third place, just outside the promotion places, with the E team finishing seventh.
The C team visited the bottom side, Cwmbran A and had a comfortable 4-1 victory. The only blot on the canvas was provided by Jiwan Gahunia, who unfortunately pulled a muscle early in his match, but who battled on gamely! The team finish in second place, and every effort will be made in the spring to ensure that it achieves promotion next season by winning the title!

The A team played the bottom side in its division, and won 4-1. The team was assisted by the fact that they were up against only four players. The only loss on the night was suffered by Mitchell Lawrence, who was making his first team debut and performed very creditably on the night. With other results going their way, the team finished in third place, which, given its selection problems throughout the season, was a remarkable result. One wonders what could have been achieved if it had played a full-strength side most weeks!
Roshan Bharos won 3-0
Chris Hill won 3-0
Steve Williams won 3-1
Mitchell Lawrence lost 3-1
