STORM Kickboxing Academy have returned home from the Austrian Classics World Cup with a trophy haul of four gold medals, five silver Medals and 11 bronze medals.

Taking a small team of only eight fighters (the youngest being only 13-years-old) to this event held in the Austrian city of Innsbruck, team Storm took on teams from all over Europe and left a huge impression.

Team Storm have had an incredible 12 months, with their total medal count now reaching 650, after having earned them the hard way in such competitions as, the Irish Open, the WTKA World Championships, Italy, The Flanders Cup, Belgium and the Best Fighter in Rimini, Italy.

In addition to this, they have 13 Cimac Grand Champions. The Cimac Best fighter of the Year, went to Storm's Ashley Brace, who earned one of the four gold medals at the Flanders cup in Belgium, and in doing so, became the only British Woman to get to a final and win, in any category to date.

Team Storm had nine fighters elected for WAKO Team GB, including 10-year-old Callum Lewis, who attended the WAKO European Championships and earned himself a Bronze award.

With this recent success in Austria, it's safe to say, that Team Storm are about to have another record breaking year.

Shaun Brace, Chief Instructor for Storm, said, "I have a very motivated and dedicated team of fighters and they always give one hundred and ten percent.

"It is this determination to succeed, that makes the team such high achievers on the competition circuit."

Shaun would like to give thanks to the parents, the supporters and the team, for all their constant hard work.

As a non-profit club, most of the funding for these competitions is raised through the constant fund raising efforts, and donations, and without the massive support from the general public, and sponsors, these children could not realise their dreams

Storm Kickboxing has classes across Wales. For further information regarding class locations, sponsorships or donations, please contact Shaun Brace on 07773032207.
