Abergavenny Ladies have played two games in the past week. The first of these was the return league fixture against Pontypool Park at Avenue Road.

This allowed the Abergavenny rink to win by 26 shots to two. The game on the rink of Sian Phillips was a much closer affair which the Abergavenny rink managed to win by 14 shots to nine.

The second fixture was a friendly against Newport Athletic Ladies at Abergavenny. After a very close game Abergavenny prevailed on two rinks and lost on one to won the game by 41 shots to 38.

Kath Pritchard’s rink won by 15 shots to 12 but the margin of victory could have been greater. Judi Belli’s rink managed to secure victory on the final end by 13 shots to 12 and Mary Evans’ rink conceded three shots on the final end to lose by 14 shots to 13.

As there are no MBA fixtures this weekend the club will be playing a mixed two wood pairs competition on Saturday. This will begin at 11am after the draw has been made.
