HOT on the heels of the grant from Community Chest, Abergavenny Bowls Club are pleased to announce another sponsorship arrangement with leading Abergavenny Estate Agency, Christie Residential.

The funding provided by Christie Residential has allowed the Avenue Road club to purchase two new sets of smaller sized bowls thereby assisting the club in its quest to attract more young bowlers to the game.

Club Captain Gethin Hill said, “The junior bowls are produced specifically for the smaller hand and these bowls will allow youngsters to play the game with adults but with bowls suitable for their age group. Any youngster joining the club will also benefit from individual coaching sessions which will improve their playing skills very quickly.”

New multi-coloured coaching equipment means that club junior members will have the very best equipment and facilities available to them.

Philip Christie added, “We receive regular requests from those wishing to move into Abergavenny about available sporting facilities and it will be good to continue recommending the Avenue Road Bowls Club knowing that we have contributed to their ability to provide first class equipment with which to practice.”
