GWENT County Division One outfit Blaenavon Blues are seeking to appoint a new first team manager in readiness for the 2013/14 season.

After 15 months in charge, the current management team of Ryan Huish and Lee Wathen iare standing down at the end of the season to concentrate on playing. The duo took up the Blues' hot seat during a difficult time for the club and have helped to stabilise the playing side whilst generating a great atmosphere amongst the players.

Blaenavon Blues have a strong and dedicated committee that is working hard behind the scenes to drive the club forward. They have one of the best facilities, not only in Gwent but in South Wales, with a Welsh league standard ground and a new clubhouse on site, as well as a dedicated training pitch that will have a floodlight upgrade during the summer.

The club's Memorial Ground is home to Torfaen Schools' Under 14s and the Gwent Central League has recently announced that the Memorial Ground will play host to all the league's cup finals during May of this year.

The club are looking for a first team manager, ideally with Welsh League or Gwent County League experience. The successful candidate will have the full backing of the committee and will have full control of how they want to run first team affairs.  Ideally, the successful candidate will appoint his own assistant manager and coaching team. Expenses and bonuses will be negotiable.

The club are also looking to employ a commercial manager to help promote the club in the local community, bring in sponsorship and complete grant applications.

The post of commercial manager would suit a local person who has a knowledge of the local community and is willing to work alongside the club's committee to complete grant applications to further the club. The commercial manager's rewards are commission based, and this will be negotiable with the club's committee.

Any applications for the above posts will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.  For further information on the above posts, email [email protected]">[email protected]  To apply for either of the above posts, please contact club Chairman Rob Browning on 07775 639 939, or email [email protected]">[email protected].
