At last, Abergavenny squash club's 'C' team managed a win by three matches to two. This was an important victory, as they beat a team (Blaenau Gwent 'A') just above them in the league, and closed the gap to just seven points. However, they remain in the relegation zone, and have a real fight on their hands if they want to stay up.

Peter Steed (2) won 3-1;
Mitchell Lawrence (3) won 3-2;
Simon Cave (4) lost 3-2;
Matthew Thomas (5) lost 3-0.
There was a rude awakening for the 'B' team, who were soundly beaten by Newport 'E' four matches to one. Only Chris Phelps managed a victory, although Gary Lawrence came very close, only losing 17-14 in the fifth set. The team drop to fourth place, but are only nine points off the top of the table, and are well ahead of the fifth team, who are 24 points adrift.

Another win by four matches to one (This time against EWS Swansea 'B') by the 'A' team, who stay in third position in the league! The highlight of the night was the performance of Jethro Binns who won comfortably despite injuring his hand midway through the first set. Once again, the top four players only dropped one set between them.
