A group of local community volunteers, youth workers and young people from Monmouthshire and Torfaen, including well known Abergavenny woman Sharon Lewis, will shortly be heading for Kenya to work on a project with Moving Mountains Trust - a charity that helps disadvantaged children.

The trip promises to be a life-changing experience for all involved.

The group, based at Cwmbran Centre for Young People (CCYP), will be flying out to Kenya on November 7.

In the meantime they're undertaking a variety of fund raising efforts. They've already completed their version of the Three Peaks Challenge by walking up the three peaks of Abergavenny - The Skirrid, Blorenge and Sugarloaf.

This Saturday they're undertaking a charity car wash at Abergavenny fire station and would welcome your support.

They would also be grateful for any contributions received via https://mydonate.bt.com/events/ccypafricamp">https://mydonate.bt.com/events/ccypafricamp
