A TEENAGER has been charged with grievous bodily harm following the stabbing of an 18-year-old woman in Abergavenny.
Police were called to a house in Victoria Street in the early hours of Saturday, June 4 where the women was found with stab wounds.
The woman, who has been identified as Alison Pugh, was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital but was later transferred to Morriston Hospital, Swansea.
Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A 17-year-old male appeared before Caerphilly Magistrates' Court on Monday, June 6 charged with GBH.
He was remanded in custody and will now appear before magistrates at Cwmbran on Tuesday, June 14, 2011.
Neighbours told the Chronicle that armed police were involved in the incident, which it is understood closed off part of Victoria Street for several hours.
