A weakened Crickhowell side were unceremoniously knocked out of the P&P Pest Control Open Cup on Saturday by Tranch, who thrashed them to the tune of 9-0.
Due to a shortage of players, Gilwern and District could not take a side to Llanarth 'A' - who will now progress to the next round on default.
Govilon were at home to Pandy in a local derby cup game, and thanks to four goals by Lewis Meadows and one by Daryl Stimpson, went on to win the game 5-2.
Goal scorers for Pandy were Sean Cheal and Jason Osbourne.
In the Premier Division Goytre were put to the sword in midweek by last season's winners and current table-toppers Trevethin, who beat them 4-1 away. Man of the match Jamie Lee scored the solitary goal for Goytre.
Goytre's woe continued on Saturday when they were vanquished 3-1 by Usk Town on the 'Island'.
Goal scorers for Usk Town were George Ashworth (2), and Will Barton. The Goytre goal was scored by Jamie Lee.
Pontypool Town are in second place following their 6-5 home win last week over Pandy, which saw the Torfaen side snatch the winning goal in the last 20 seconds.
Pandy's goals came from a brace apiece by Jason Osbourne and Kirk Morgan, and a solo effort by Steven Wedlock.
Premier outfit Gilwern and District had a shaky start to their first week of fixtures, which began with a 1-1 draw with Llanarth, following goals from Gilwern's Tom Russell and Llanarth's Luke Williams.
In midweek they were destroyed 9-1 away to Trevethin, with Garry Rees scoring the consolation goal for Gilwern, and on Saturday they lost 5-3 to Lower New Inn. Gilwern's goals came from Matthew Burkitt, Adam Carrington, and an Owen Edwards penalty.
Last season's Division One winners Clydach Wasps are once again kings of the hill after only three games.
Last week they took Govilon to hand and beat them 4-0 despite being down to ten men in the second-half. Simon Tippings scored a brace for the Wasps, Mark Taylor scored a spectacular strike from 30 yards out with his left foot, and Ryan Price added his name to the score-sheet.
The Wasps then turned the sting on Crickhowell whom they did a 7-0 demolition job on after strikes from Craig Evans (4), Kyle Cheshire (penalty), Ryan Price and Simon Tippings.
On Saturday the Abergavenny Thursdays became the Wasps' third consecutive victim when they put four goals on the Pen-y-Pound outfit who had nothing in way of reply.
The Wasps who netted were Simon Tippings (2), John Powell and Paul Congrieve.
The Thursdays suffered a similar fate in their previous match after going under 4-0 to Fairfield.
However, prior to that the Thursdays inflicted a one-sided goal-fest of their own on Crickhowell, and after strikes from Joe Pengally (2), David Mason (penalty), Chris Lambert, Robert Didcote, Leon Phillips and Robert Davies, the Thursdays run out 7-0 victors.
The only downside for the Thursdays was that they had their goalkeeper Neil Powell sent off for a professional foul.
The Blaenavon Blues beat Cwmffrdoer 3-2 in midweek after goals from Grant 'Vinny' Evans, Nathan Mapstone and Adam Johnson.
On Saturday Blaenavon Blues turned up the pressure and hammered Mardy 5-1 following a brace from Liam Powell, and solo efforts from Mark Creese, Glen Harvey and Leon Catley.
Matthew Lynch scored Mardy's goal from the penalty spot.
On the previous Monday Mardy were narrowly beaten 3-2 at home by Panteg. Mardy's goal scorers were Joe Morgan and Chris Carter.
