Two people from Brecon died following a road traffic collision on the A40 near Crickhowell on Sunday October 26 when a Vauxhall Astra vehicle travelling towards Crickhowell collided with a Blue Ford Fiesta travelling in the opposite direction.

The male driver of the Vauxhall Astra, and the female driver of the Ford Fiesta both sustained fatal injuries.

A male passenger who was in the Ford Fiesta remains in a serious condition in hospital.

The road was closed until late Sunday night while specialist officers examined the scene. The investigation is ongoing into the cause of the collision.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to get in touch with the Dyfed Powys Roads Policing Unit by calling 101.
