Two men have been arrested after two men died following a collision near Abergavenny

The incident happened on the B4598 near The Hardwick restaurant in Abergavenny just before 11pm on Friday.

Gwent Police said a 19-year-old and 35-year-old from the Abergavenny area were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two others, aged 20 and 24, were taken to hospital and have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

One of the two men who died in the collision has been named locally as 19 year-old Jordan Bell (Thomas). His family spoke on social media of their 'heart-break' at the tragedy. Gwent Police is appealing for anyone with information or who witnessed the collision between a blue Toyota Celica and a red Citroen C2 to contact 101.
