TRAVELLERS who set up an illegal encampment on Abergavenny's Castle Meadows have pitched-up in Brynmawr.

The dozen caravans, scrap lorries and cars broke into the former boiler house site opposite Lakeside Retail Park on Tuesday afternoon.

Monmouthshire County Council send the travellers a notice to leave the meadows over the weekend and they left behind rubbish bags, rusty farm tools and a lilo at the Abergavenny beauty spot.
