ELVIS was spotted in a ‘plain and simple chapel where the humble go to pray’ recently. He wan’t crying though he was presenting some grateful friends of his with a cheque for over two grand.

The money was raised during a balmy night in August when the Abergavenny Elvis AKA Keith Davies and his suited and booted Mafia took to the stage and raised a kingly sum of £2165 for the Llanfoist Chapel of Peace.

Beryl Woolley, who is one of the Friends of the Chapel explained, “We’d like to thank Elvis for his fantastic donation. It really is most appreciated and most welcome.”

As Elvis would no doubt add, “Take your troubles to the chapel. Get down on your knees and pray

Your burdens will be lighter. And you’ll surely find the way.”

Amen to that ladies and gentlemen. Amen to that.
