IT was a dead-letter day for counter workers at Abergavenny Post Office who made a first class effort to celebrate Halloween in ghoulish style.

Despite finding itself operating with a skeleton staff, the busy branch managed to hold customers spellbound throughout the spookiest day of the year, sending them home with the ghost of a smile.
