POTHOLE hazards on a major route out of Abergavenny have been rectified.
News that the gaping craters had been filled in on the A465 between the town and Pontrilas was welcomed by local AM Nick Ramsay.
He had written to the Welsh Government Minister for Transport, Edwina Hart AM, after receiving complaints from constituents about the ‘extremely poor quality’ of the road surface on sections of the important stretch of trunk road.
“I have been receiving some serious complaints about the condition of this stretch of road - and I’m sure road-users will share my relief that the potholes have been filled before the winter sets in,” he said.
He added, “If anyone has concerns about the condition of other roads in the area please let me know and I will do my best to ensure that improvements are implemented as speedily as possible.”
