A HEARTBROKEN Govilon pet owner is still in the dark about the whereabouts of missing French bulldog brothers, Bert and Ernie, who disappeared from her back garden on February 9.
Nicola Embrey Jones of Twyn Allws Road told the Chronicle she is out every day in the surrounding neighbourhood and countryside searching for the beloved pair.
The story of Bert and Ernie’s disappearance in last week’s Chronicle received more than 28,000 hits on the paper’s website and thousands of shares on social media.
A video of the pair taken on the morning of their disappearance and published on Facebook shows the two-year-olds playing happily in the falling snow in the back garden of their home; minutes later they were gone.
Nicola told the Chronicle, ‘I popped them into the back garden while I went to get changed for work; it couldn’t have been more than a few minutes. I’m afraid they might have got out under the gate. A neighbour’s CCTV shows them running together up the road.’
Despite offers of a significant reward there has still been no indication of the pair’s whereabouts.
Nicola has set up a special Facebook page - Bert and Ernie Appeal - containing several pictures of the pair and details of how members of the public can help in the search. She can also be contacted on 07841 911479
