Check out this beauty folks! It’s a juvenile starling which Chronicle lensman Tim Evans captured in
on a bench overlooking the harbour at Bridport, Dorset where they filmed the TV series Broadchurch.
Tim explained, “He looks a bit shifty so perhaps he had some involvement in the criminal underworld! But What a beautiful bird.”
And I’m sure all our readers will agree it’s got a plumage to die for.
Interestingly when you see a 100 or more starlings surge swirl and sweep against the blood and fire of an autumn sky it’s known as a murmuration of starlings.
Sounds quite chirpy doesn’t it?
