STEVE Perez and local lad Paul Spooner won last weekend's Cambrian Rally in their Ford Focus WRC.
This was their fifth win in the championship and together with two other second places confirmed the championship title which they had secured without having to compete on the final round of the Cambrian.
They beat second placed Hugh Hunter by 90 seconds over six gravel special stages in the North Wales Forests.
They set fastest times on four of the stages and second fastest on the others. This is the third time that Paul Spooner has won the BTRDA Championship when competing against some of the best rallying crews in the UK.
