THANK goodness the Welsh Assembly Members (AMs) are

not being completely left behind by those money grabbers

in the Westminster government. The inhabitants of the

marvellous building in Cardiff Bay appear to be able to

pick up a few shekels for their much needed second

homes - well, come on now, would you really like to see

them commute like the rest of the nation? Be honest.

We don't bother with hundreds of MPs like London, so a

few essential purchases for their second homes are

undoubtedly unaffordable on their meagre salaries.

And did these gallant politicos not keep their pay

increases this year to the British average? Well, granted it

was a bit less than ten percent but they justified this

increase in so many ways. Just because I did not

understand any of these ways does not mean they were

wrong.

If all the people of Wales were to set their minds to the

task of compiling a long list of all the great things that

WAG has introduced it would show how incredible this

institution really is. Please don't include hot air and good

intentions on your list as even Rhodri the Great actually

said in a live TV answer that many people in Wales believe

this already. He must be very perspicacious, whatever that

means.

All our AMs should spend £2,000 on a sofa, it seems

dreadfully unfair that just one AM was singled out for

refusing to go to that company that always has a sale on

or not pairing up with a fellow AM to go to that other

company where you buy one and get one free.

I feel sure our AMs could never be accused of being self-

interested and taking greater care of their own needs

before that of the people they serve.

What does a sofa here or there matter in the great scheme

of things? After all they all need a place to rest the body

part from which they spout their logic.
