Gwent Police is appealing for information following a robbery that occurred on Sunday, March 15 at approximately 3:40pm in Abergavenny.

The incident happened at the rear of the Castle leading to Castle Meadows where a 19 year old man was walking in that area and was pushed to the floor and robbed of his wallet by two men.

The offenders then made of in the direction of the town. The victim was uninjured during the incident. The two offenders are described as being white males in their 20's. One of the men is described as being approximately 5 feel 10' inches and of stocky build. He had short brown hair, a right ear piercing and was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. The other is described as being 6 foot tall and of stocky build with short light brown hair. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with dark print on the front, baggy blue jeans and light coloured trainers. He spoke with a welsh accent.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information about the robbery is asked to ring 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously quoting log 318 15/03/15.
