UPDATE: Cross Ash School is also to be closed on Monday Monmouthshire County Council has confirmed Police in Abergavenny say they will be checking the town’s CCTV following reports of 4x4s driving dangerously in Fairfield car park.

“Registrations have been provided to us and although the car park is alll clear now town CCTV monitoring and CCTV will be reviewed from earlier and any offences dealt with. Vehicles will be seized where appropriate,” said a police spokesman.Police have once again urged drivers to only travel if their journeys are essential, while local care organisations have appealed for anyone with 4x4 vehicles to help ferry caters to and from vital calls. With the cold weather set to remain for today at least King Henry VIII School has announced it is to be closed on Monday with teams working to ensure the safety of the site for it to re-open in Tuesday.
