POLICE are appealing for information regarding the assault of a 43 year old man.

At approximately 4.30pm on Thursday November 25th, the local man was walking on Attlee Road, Nantyglo when he was approached by two men who pushed him to the floor and attempted to take a bag from him.

The men were unable to take the bag and then ran off down the hill in the direction of Blaina. The male suffered minor injuries and received hospital treatment.

The first male is described as between 21 and 24 years of age, between 5 ft 8 in and 6ft tall, of muscular build. He had short spiky hair and was clean shaven. He had a local accent and was wearing blue denim jeans and a grey hooded top. The second male was described as between 21 and 24 years of age, 5ft 7 in tall, muscular/stocky build wearing a navy coloured hooded top and blue denim jeans.
